How It Works

Step 1: Review our Terms of Use and Pricing Pages

If you’re new to Essential Edits, please read our terms of use, and pricing pages, which gives an understanding of our guidelines and systems.

Step 2: Determine Total ‘Word Count’ and Total ‘Page Court’

Calculate the total number of words in your document (this is easily done using Microsoft Word). Divide the Total ‘Word Count’ by 300 (300 words per page) to get Total ‘Page Count’. This will help you determine the price of your document.

Step 3: Choose Turnaround and Determine Price

Once you have the Total ‘Word Count’ and Total ‘Page Count’ of your document, go to our pricing page and click on your desired turnaround time.

Step 4: Submit your Document

Once on the ‘Submit Your Document’ page, complete the required sections on the form. Then, upload your document. It would be helpful if you submit your document in Microsoft Word format (.doc, .docx, or .rtf), however we do accept other formats including .pdf files.

In Special Instructions section, please send us all relevant information, including:

Deadline
Specific format for your document (APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, Oxford, etc.)

You will receive a confirmation email once we have received your document. Be sure to contact us if you have not received a confirmation within 30 minutes of sending your document. Payment must be received before we begin the editing process, unless we have discussed prior arrangements.

Step 5: Editing of your Document has Begun

Based on the content and your requirements, we will select the best editor for the editing of your document. The editor will receive the document and all relevant information. The editing process will begin once we have verified the correct payment.

Step 6: We Return your Document

We will send you two versions of your document in Microsoft Word format via email.

The first version will be titled “Edited” and show all the changes made to the original document. The editor may suggest areas to focus on before submitting or publishing your document.

The second version will be titled “Final” and this version will be ready to print, publish, or submit.
All changes and notes will be indicated by Microsoft Word ‘Track Changes’. For an idea of ‘Track Changes’, please view our samples.

Step 7: Free Revision

Essential Edits provides one free revision at no extra charge provided they are within the scope of the original project.
Additional cost may be added for formatting and new content added to the original edited document.

Step 8: Your Document is Completed!
